After an accident
- Stop safely, switch off the engine and turn on hazard lights.
- Check yourself and others for injury. Do not move a seriously injured person unless there is immediate danger.
- Call emergency services when anyone is injured, the road is blocked or there is serious danger.
- Place a warning triangle only when it is safe to do so.
- Exchange names, phone numbers, registration and insurance details.
- Photograph the vehicles, road position, damage, signs and surroundings.
- Do not admit fault at the scene. Give factual information only.
